Bonjour!

Please take a look at what we have learned for the past two weeks.

JK:
  • We learned about shapes and patterns. We sang a song about shapes: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FzDuwrW5le8
  • We did fun activities such as playing bingo, forming shapes with playdough, matching game, forming patterns using math manipulatives, and completing shape and pattern worksheets.

SK:
  • We talked about the four seasons and what happens in each season (e.g. what we see, wear or do in each season).
  • We sang the seasons song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PWhLSc_FpCM .The students loved it!
  • We did a four corner activity where the students are asked a number of questions about the seasons and they respond by standing next to the correct answer; in this case, the correct season.
  • We also completed worksheets about the seasons.

Grade 1:
  • We learned the difference between indefinite (un, une, and des) and definite articles (le, la, l', and les). We worked on exercises related to the articles, figuring out whether the word is masculine (boy), feminine (girl), or plural (more than one).

Le début de 2018!

Bonjour!

We have been focusing on the theme of winter. The PYP French classes have been learning about winter clothes. We also sang a song about winter: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sifBNR2Uz4g

We played "Le jeu de mémoire/matching game".

We played "Qu'est-ce qui manque/what's missing?".

The Grade 1s worked on a worksheet where they have to
copy the winter clothing vocabulary words down and colored the pictures.

Décembre!
