La 4e semaine!

Bonjour!

It was a busy but an exciting week at school with the Fall Fundraiser happening this week. On the last day of Fall Fundraiser, students got to enjoy a dance party and watching some teachers getting pied in the face!!

Here's an update of what we did in French class this week:

JK:

Students completed their French profile. They continued to practice counting from 1-5 with fun manipulatives and traced the numbers. We also played some number games!

SK:

We reviewed our classroom object vocabulary. Students went around the classroom searching for the item that was called. They did a wonderful job understanding what was asked and knew exactly where to find them! We had fun working on an activity page where we cut and pasted the correct classroom object to the corresponding word.

Grade 1:

We reviewed our classroom object vocabulary. We did an excellent job at searching for each item that was called and knowing exactly where they were located. We played "J'ai.. Qui a.. I have... Who has.." and worked on a worksheet. We talked about what we do with each classroom object (e.g. Avec un crayon, j'écris "With a pencil, I write." Avec les ciseaux, je découpe. "With scissors, I cut"). We started talking about rules & responsibilities as part of our UOI. We discussed some rules in the classroom. We practiced saying which rules we follow and had fun acting them out for others to guess.

Have a wonderful weekend! Passez un bon week-end!

Bonjour!

We had an amazing week. Please take a look at what we have learned in French class this past week!

JK:
  • We started our calendar routine and practiced saying the date (e.g. "Aujourd'hui c'est lundi, mardi, mercredi...").
  • We learned to say what we are (e.g. Je suis un garçon "I am a boy" . Je suis une fille "I am a girl.") We learned a new song called "Les filles et les garçons" that sounds like the "Farmer in the dell" song. we had fun singing and dancing to the song! Then, we completed an activity sheet where we colored which one we are.

SK
  • We started our calendar routine and practiced saying the full date.
  • We practiced counting from 1-20. We are starting to learn how to count from 21-30. We played lots of fun games like Bingo and "dix" to review our numbers. We also learned new vocabulary related to classroom objects and played "What's missing".
