JK:
  • We sang the traffic light song and worked on a traffic light craft.
    • ROUGE - "Arrête!" JAUNE - "Ralentis!" VERT - "Vas-y!"














  • For spirit week, we played fun games and talked about what we wore to review clothing and colour. 
    • Qu'est-ce que tu portes aujourd'hui? "Je porte un chandail".  
    • De quelle couleur est le chandail? "Vert!"





 
  • We also talked about what we're doing for March Break. Some of us are going away to hot places! Very exciting!

SK:
  • We worked on a space vocabulary worksheet to practice writing.

Grade 1:

  • Students were introduced to more vocabulary words of inventions


  • We worked on inventions vocabulary worksheet where we have to match the words with pictures of the inventions









  • For spirit week, we talked about what we wore to review clothing and colour (e.g. Je porte une robe bleue...un pantalon noir.. etc.)
 


  • We also talked about what we're doing for March Break. Some of us are going away to hot places! Very exciting!

Grade 2:
  • Students practiced describing pictures of family members using a number of adjectives (e.g. petit(e), grand(e), beau/belle, content(e), triste etc...)
    • Example:
      La mère:
      Elle est contente. Elle est belle. Elle est grande.
      Le père:
      Il est content. Il est beau. Il est grand.
      La soeur:
      Elle est petite. Elle est belle. Elle est triste.

      Le frère:
      Il est petit. Il est beau. Il est triste

JK:
  • We played a game to review the different types of transportation that we've learned in this unit.


  • We talked about road safety: we sang a song about traffic lights (Les Feux de Circulation: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=80YXol45Y2g) and played a fun game similar to freeze dance that involves the three lights.
    • Le feu rouge - Arrêtez! (Red light means "Stop"!)

    • Le feu jaune - Ralentissez! (Yellow light means "Slow down!")

    • Le feu vert - Allez-y! (Green light means "Go!") 









 





 
SK:


  • Using the taught space vocabulary, we talked about what we see in space and what we don't:
    • En espace, je vois... un astronaute, le soleil, des planètes...
    • En espace, je ne vois pas... une fille, un garçon, une fleur...


 
















Grade 1:

  • Students reponded to simple questions in complete sentences related to inventions:
    • Qui a inventé la téléphone?
    • Qui a inventé la voiture?
    • Avec quelle invention je peux voyager?  
    • Avec quelle invention je peux réchauffer de la nourriture?
  • We talked about our favourite inventions and why and wrote in our journal using complete sentences following the teacher's model.
 


























Grade 2:

  • We practiced writing numbers on the board and corrected each other of any mistakes. Then we worked on a number worksheet on our own.
