Le Printemps!

Bonjour!

Here to update you what we have been doing in the PYP French classes to date.

Grade 1 & 2:
  • Students are able to name things they see during spring such as les oiseaux, les papillons, les fleurs, le lapin... and learned about spring activities.
  •  They learned to say these activities and wrote in their journals what they like to do in the spring time e.g. Pendant le printemps, j'aime faire de la bicyclette

  • On Earth Day (April 22nd), students discovered some ways they can help to protect our Earth and wrote in their journals one way that they could do to help the Earth by looking at the examples.

  • Students practiced the sounds CH, OU, & ON and are able to list words from each of the three sounds e.g CH- chien, OU- poussin, and ON- papillon
  • They also learned the different prepositions of place and sang a song to remember them: SUR- on, SOUS- under, DANS- in, etc...  They are able to say where objects are in the classroom.
