JK:
- We played "Le jeu de mime/Charades" to review animals.
- We also played a musical game like Freeze Dance where students dance with the music playing. When the music stops, students have to act out an animal that was called.
- We learned about size: "petit (small)" and "grand (big)" and categorized animals according to their size.
SK:
- We wrapped up the career unit and completed a worksheet where students have to match the professions with the tools they use. At the bottom of the page, they write what they want to be when they grow up.
Grade 1:
- We started a new animals & habitat unit. We talked about "les animaux domestiques": les animaux de compagnie (pets) and les animaux de la ferme (farm animals).
- We did a survey where students got to go around the classroom and ask their classmates which pet they own.
- We also completed a crossword puzzle to practice writing the names of the animals we learned
Grade 2:
- We completed a transportation assignment where students got to write about their favourite mode of transportation, how they travel, to where and with whom they would like to travel.
