Please take a look at what we did in French class this past week.
JK:
- We sang "Wheels of the bus" in French and played a variety of fun games to review the different modes of transportation.
- We worked on a cut and paste transportation sorting activity and a coloring activity (by air "dans le ciel", water "sur l'eau", or land "sur la terre")
SK:
- We started the feelings unit: We played Charades and Pictionary to guess the different emotions.
- We worked on a worksheet. We had to draw the different faces of emotions to match with the terms. We then wrote and drew how we felt that day : "Aujourdhui, je me sens..." Students had to write whether they are content(e) "happy" , triste "sad", excité(e) "excited", peur "scared", fatigué(e) "tired" or surpris(e) "surprised".
Grade 1:
- We talked about art and what we find in art class. Students filled out a vocabulary worksheet with new words related to our topic.
- We also talked about primary and secondary colors and how to create secondary colors by using the primary colors. We tried mixing a variety of colors to create new colors (e.g. rouge + jaune = orange; bleu + jaune = vert).
