Bonjour!
Please take a look at what we did this past week in French class!
Please take a look at what we did this past week in French class!
JK:
- We practiced counting and tracing numbers 1-5.
- We are starting to learn how to count from 6-10.
SK:
- We reviewed classroom objects: The teacher called out a classroom object and the students went around the classroom to look for that specific object. They did a great job knowing what they are and where they are! They also worked on an activity where they had to trace the vocabulary words and cut and paste the correct picture to match the words.
- We started a new unit on farm animals. Students learned about the different animals that live on the farm and the sounds they make (e.g. le cochon - groin groin, le mouton - bêê bêê, la vache - meuh meuh).
- We sang a song about farm animals: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ms7e7O7TRk
- We played "Qu'est-ce qu'il manque / What's missing?" to help students remember the names of the animals.
Gr. 1:
- We reviewed classroom objects: We played "J'ai..Qui a.."(I have.. Who has..) and memory game. We also worked on a worksheet where we had to write the words under the corresponding picture of the classroom objects with the help of a word bank.
- We also briefly talked about Terry Fox. We sang a song about him - "La Persévérance", by Gregg LeRock: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nwpzXxU7VWk
