Below is a summary of what we did in French class this past week.
JK:
We learned about fruits. We took turns saying the fruits. We talked about our favourite fruit (e.g. J'aime la pomme "I like the apple". J'aime la banane "I like the banana".) We sang a song about fruits "J'aime les fruits" : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nJ03KjwiIVM&pbjreload=10
SK:
We continue to focus on farm animals. We learned the names of male, female, and baby farm animals. We completed class activities to help us remember the animal names. We worked on a cut and paste activity where we had to sort the animals under the correct group (male, female, baby).
Grade 1:
We talked about responsibilities at home. We discussed the different ways we can be responsible at home (e.g. Je brosse mes dents "I brush my teeth". Je fais mon lit "I make my bed".)
Students are able to say how they are responsible by forming a complete sentence (e.g. Je suis responsable parce que...je brosse mes dents "I am responsible because.. I brush my teeth"). We completed a worksheet where we had to fill out the responsibility under the appropriate picture with the help of the flash cards.
