Below is a summary of what we did in French class this past week.
JK:
We practiced our numbers (1-10) by playing dix and matching the number of dots with the correct number.
We traced numbers 6-10.
We reviewed our colours and found objects that matched with each colour.
SK:
We continued to practice our farm animal vocabulary by playing a game of Charades. Students were able to easily name the different types of farm animals we have learned in class and the sounds they make! We also sung "O McDonald" in French: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wDcgM_U22XU. You can change the speed of the song if it is too fast by going to settings > speed.
We practiced writing the names of the animals and coloring them properly.
We also worked on a cut and paste activity where students must identify the animals that live on the farm and paste them on the farm.
Grade 1:
We started on our journal and wrote about what we ate during Thanksgiving to review our Thanksgiving food vocabulary.
We talked about responsibilities as part of our UOI. We discussed ways we can be responsible at school (e.g. Je porte mon uniforme. J'écoute mes professeurs...etc).
We got to act out the responsibilities and have others guess which one it is!
We then worked on a worksheet where we had to fill out the responsibility under the appropriate picture with the help of flash cards.
