C'est l'hiver!

Bonjour!

We continued to talk about winter. Our kindergarten friends completed exercises related to winter clothing. We did a cut and paste activity where we match the words with the correct clothing item.

The Grade 1s learned the difference between un, une, and des:

un, une and des are the french equivalents for a and some

un is used for masculine things and une for feminine things.

des is used for things that are more than one (plural) regardless of the gender.

We took turns going up to the board to practice figuring out whether the word uses un (masculine), une (feminine), or des (plural) and then completed a worksheet.

All the classes have been learning about winter activities/sports. We talked about our favourite winter activity/sport by completing the phrase: "J'aime...".
We played charades to guess the activities/sports.

Of course, the number of activities are taught according to their level. For example, JKs learned a few simple ones and the SKs & Grade 1s learned a couple more activity phrases.

The Grade 1s learned a new song about winter: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lEINdfUmxsQ
