Joyeuses Pâques!

Bonjour la famille de SJA! Joyeuses Pâques! Happy Easter!

This week, we mainly focused on Easter. We learned Easter vocabulary words and worked on activities related to this special holiday. Please take a look below.

JK:

• We sang a song about Easter ("C'est la fête de Pâques" - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qjzl_uSKmVE).
• We talked about what we see, eat and do during Easter using some of the basic vocabulary.
• We did a cut and paste activity where students had to cut and spell out the letters "L-A-P-I-N", which means "rabbit/bunny" and then color the picture of the Easter bunny. 
• We also worked on an Easter color by number activity.

SK:

• We sang a song about Easter ("C'est la fête de Pâques" - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qjzl_uSKmVE).
• We talked about the five senses of Easter (what we see, smell, hear, taste, touch) and also what we do during Easter using the taught vocabulary. 
• We did a cut and paste activity where students had to match the Easter words with the pictures. They then had to copy and write out the words.
• We worked on an Easter color by number activity.

Grade 1:

• We sang a song about Easter ("C'est la fête de Pâques" - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qjzl_uSKmVE).  
• We talked about the five senses of Easter (what we see, smell, hear, taste, touch) and also what we do during Easter using the taught vocabulary.
• We worked on an Easter vocabulary worksheet where students had to match the words with the pictures.
• We worked on an Easter reading comprehension as a class. For the activity, students took turns reading the instructions and followed through carefully by doing what the instructions told us to do (E.g. Colorie le lapin en gris "Color the rabbit grey"). We also worked on a fun word search.
