La 12e et 13e semaine

JK:

• We worked on activities related to shapes and patterns.

 

 

• We also got to play Shape Bingo!  

 

 

SK:

• We reinforced on the sense of taste, hearing and smell. We talked about the four different flavours (e.g. le sucré, le salé, l'acide, l'amer), what we can hear and we cannot (e.g. J'entends. Je n'entends pas...) and what smells good and what does not... (e.g Ça sent bon. Ça sent mauvais).

• We used flash cards to help us classify objects that belong to each category and worked on cut and paste activities.

 

 

 

 

 

Grade 1:

• We continued to talk about the different types of dinosaurs, the meaning of their names, their physical features, their defense mechanisms, their enemies... We also compared their sizes/length/weight with real life objects to have an idea of how big they are.

• Students picked a dinosaur of their choice and wrote about their dinosaur by filling out the missing info.

 

 

• We played mime games or "Charades" and acted out different types of dinosaurs for other students to guess

Grade 2:

• We played Bingo to review food vocabulary terms

• Students worked on food worksheets where they wrote what they like and dislike. They also got to survey their peers to see what they like/dislike.

 

 

 

 

• We talked about the five food groups. Students were introduced to more food items and categorized them according to the five food groups: les fruits et les légumes, les produits céréaliers, les produits laitiers, les viandes et les substituts.
