La 5e semaine!

Bonjour!

Here's an update of what we have been learning in our French classes:

JUNIOR KINDERGARTEN:

We practiced counting and learned to count up to 10 by playing number games and singing a fun numbers song called "La ballade des chiffres". You can check out the link here for the song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BohMv2xhMdw (we are only singing up to 10 for now).

SENIOR KINDERGARTEN:

We reviewed our colours. Students did a great job at finding objects in the classroom that match with each colour. They also worked on an activity where they traced the colour words and coloured the leaves according to the assigned colour. We started learning about farm animals as part of our UOI and learned the names of some farm animals.

GRADE 1:

We continued to talk about rules/responsibilities in the classroom. We worked on a worksheet where we had to identify the rule in the picture and then write down the correct rule described in the picture. As a class, we completed a true and false activity about these rules. If the statement was false, then we have to correct it (e.g. "À l'école, je porte mon pyjama." Faux. Je porte mon uniforme!!). Students got to write in their journals how they are responsible at school by completing the phrase "À l'école, je suis responsable parce que..."). We also reviewed our colours and completed a colouring activity page.
